June 12, 2008: Teen Xtravaganza Beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Great River Bowl.
June 13, 2008: Mayor's 5K Run/Walk at 6:00 p.m. Mayor's 5K Run/Walk Registration Form
June 14, 2008: Grand Day Parade, 10:00 a.m. Along Riverside Ave N
Family Carnival: Starts at 11:00 a.m. at Sartll Middle School
Street Dance: Starts at 7:00 p.m., Great River Bowl, Featuring DiamondBack.
Mayor's 5K Run/Walk Welcome
The inaugural race of the Sartell Mayor’s 5k run/walk will be Friday, June 13,
2008. In addition to being a great event promoting health and fitness, it is also a
fundraiser for the Sartell – St. Stephen Community Education program.
Proceeds from this run/walk will be used to help expand recreational
opportunities in the Sartell Area for persons of all ages.
The walk will begin at 5:30 pm and the race at 6:30 pm with both beginning and
ending at Sartell City Hall. At the conclusion of the run/walk, participates are
invited to join with friends and family in the Sartell Lion’s Community Park for the
award ceremony and a free concert by the Sartell Community Band. Prizes will
be awarded to the top runners in each age class, as well as a prize for the top
male and the top female runner overall.
Parking for run, walk and concert is available at the Bernick’s Arena or at the
Pine Meadow Elementary School. Parking will be restricted at Sartell City Hall.
This event is made possible by the generous support and sponsorship of
Bernick’s Beverage and Vending, Abbott Northwestern – Sartell, Health Partners
and The Endurance Shop of St. Cloud. Their support and participation in the
Sartell Mayor’s 5k run/walk is appreciated.
