Cemetery
The City of Sartell operates and maintains the public cemetery located on 4th Avenue North between
Brookwood Lane and 2 1/2 Street North.

Cemetery Hours: The cemetery is open to visitors during the hours of 7:00 a.m.
to sunset.

The schedule below is to set the fees/rates for the purchasing of a burial site in the cemetery
owned by the city of Sartell, cost for site preparations and any additional costs that may be incurred as of
January 1st, 2003. This review is in part do to the passage of CHAPTER 100, Laws of Minnesota, 1993, which requires
that if persons wish to be buried at any time of the year, the cemetery shall bury them. Any additional costs
incurred will be born by the party or parties wishing a burial during adverse weather conditions.

| The normal costs for a burial are: |

Monuments and Markers
- Every monument and marker shall be placed in the space shown on the cemetery plat or as directed by the superintendent.
- No monument or marker may be placed unless the location has been approved and full purchase price of the lot
has been paid. No monument or marker may be constructed of limestone, sandstone, wood or other material, which
will not assure relative permanency.
- The height shall not exceed 48" above the ground surface on all monuments. Single markers shall consist of
one piece and shall not be more than 12" in width, and shall be level with the surrounding ground surface. Double
markers shall not exceed 48" in length. Other dimensions of double markers shall be the same as for single markers.
- These restrictions shall not apply to monuments provided by the federal government.
- All monuments are markers shall be placed on foundations of solid masonry at the depth determined by the
superintendent. Foundations shall also extend 3" beyond the base of all monuments.
