Public Works
The Public Works Department is responsible for the planning, design, construction, operation and
maintenance of all city roads, the water and sewer systems, storm sewers and the maintenance of city-owned equipment.
The department consists of four operating divisions: Street, Utility, Maintenance, and Parks.

| Sartell City Hall is open from 7:00 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you have an after hour emergency that need immediate attention, please call
the Sartell Police Department at 251-8186 and the appropriate personnel will be called. |

The Public Works Department is led by Brad Borders.
The Street Division is responsible for maintenance, repair and snow plowing of local streets
and cul-de-sacs. It is also responsible for maintaining traffic signals, street name and regulatory signs, storm
sewer and ponding areas, pavement markings and tree trimming along boulevards.
The Utility Division is composed of the water and sanitary sewer operations. This division
operates and maintains wells, water storage facilities, water mains, sanitary sewer lines and lift stations, and fire
hydrants. Once a year, utility workers read water meters for one quarter of the City.
The Maintenance Division is responsible for the purchase, maintenance, repair, and replacement
of city vehicles and equipment.
The Parks Division maintains all areas of developed parks and grounds adjacent to public
buildings and right-of-ways, including seeding, fertilizing and mowing of grass. Other areas of responsibilities
include maintenance of all athletic fields, playgrounds, trails, open skating and hockey rinks, and trash removal
