The Blotter items listed below are a very small representation of
the thousands
of calls that officers handle each year. Monday, April 21 12:39 p.m. Motor vehicle crash, Pine Cone Rd S at Scout Drive. Vehicle #1 was travelling northbound on Pine Cone Rd as vehicle #2 was travelling southbound. Vehicle #2 attempted to make a left turn and turned in front of vehicle #1. Vehicle #1 was unable to avoid the collision. The 51-year-old female driver of vehicle #2, who faces possible charges of DUI and failure to yield, was transported to St. Cloud Hospital complaining of head pain.
Tuesday, April 22 1:27 p.m. Residential alarm. No problems were observed or reported. False alarm. 8:20 p.m. Vandalism, 200 block of Lowell Lane. Homeowner reported that a doorknob to the residence may have been tampered with.
Wednesday, April 23 5:00 p.m. Illegal discharge of firearm, Michaels Court. Report of adult female shooting a BB gun.
Thursday, April 24 4:25 a.m. Business alarm. No problems were observed or reported. False alarm. 8:03 a.m. School bus stop arm violation. 9:10 a.m. School bus stop arm violation. 10:01 p.m. Theft, 400 block of 15th Street North. License plate stolen off of vehicle.
Friday, April 25 6:28 p.m. 911 open line. No problems were observed by officers or reported by homeowner. 8:29 p.m. Traffic stop. 28-year-old female driver arrested for gross misdemeanor warrant. 10:40 p.m. Traffic stop. 46-year-old male driver arrested for DUI.
Saturday, April 26 2:52 a.m. Loud music complaint, 800 block of Edinburgh Street. 3:46 a.m. Medical. 23-year-old female having a panic attack.
Sunday, April 27 12:52 a.m. Suspicious smell, 2100 block of 3rd Street North. Report of a burning electrical smell from kitchen of residence. Fire department discovered that the refrigerator compressor was burned out. 5:12 p.m. Motorcycle crash, Heritage Drive. 53-year-old male driver misjudged a curve and left the roadway. No report of injuries.
Monday, April 28 5:19 p.m. Residential carbon monoxide alarm. Officers went through the residence with the carbon monoxide meter and received low readings. Xcel Energy was called as a precaution.
Tuesday, April 29 1:07 a.m. Car prowler, 400 block of 7th Street North. A suspect was observed entering parked vehicles. The suspect was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and was seen leaving the area in a dark 4-door vehicle. The called reported that the following items were missing from his garage: 6-gallon gas can, depth finder/fish locator, trolling motor and two boat seats. The items were last seen in November, 2007. 10:20 a.m. Traffic stop. 47-year-old male driver arrested on a misdemeanor warrant. 3:10 p.m. Traffic stop. 27-year-old male driver arrested on a felony warrant for controlled substance. 11:10 p.m. Report of gunshots, 400 Riverside Avenue South. Officers found that a vehicle had backfired, causing the loud sound. No weapons were involved. 11:46 p.m. Medical. 25-year-old female feeling lightheaded. Gold Cross transported.
Wednesday, April 30 11:33 p.m. Vandalism, 1100 block of 3rd Street North. Two vehicles were covered with an unknown sauce.
Thursday, May 1 8:15 a.m. Vandalism, Sartell Post Office. Obscenity was written on a postal vehicle.
Friday, May 2 1:37 a.m. 911 call. No problems were observed or reported. 10:24 a.m. Medical. 4-year-old having a seizure. Officers administered oxygen and monitored the child until Gold Cross arrived to transport.
Saturday, May 3 10:08 a.m. Medical. 76-year-old female possibly having a stroke. Officers monitored the female until Gold Cross arrived to transport. 9:27 p.m. Traffic stop. 47-year-old male driver arrested for DUI. 10:28 p.m. Assault, Blue Line Sports Bar. An adult male was struck in the forehead by another adult male. An adult female was inadvertently cut by broken glass as she was trying to break up the incident.
Sunday, May 4 2:27 a.m. Fight, Winners Bar. Officers are investigating a fight which took place in the parking lot after the bar closed. 12:57 p.m. Theft, 300 block of Lawrence Court. Vehicle license plate was removed.
