Boy Scouts of America
Be Prepared. It's more than a motto, it's a way of life. Being prepared means having the ability to deal with the many tough challenges life presents-that's what Scouting is all about. Through its time-tested program, Scouting provides young people with opportunities to mentor their peers, build character, and enrich their faith. These activities build stronger family bonds and help youth reach their full potential by instilling values that last a lifetime. Scout programs offer opportunities to boys ages 7-20. There are also leadership opportunities for parents, religious and community organizations, and other leaders.

Some annual activities include: Klondike Derbies; Alpha Lupus Winter Camping Weekend; Pinewood Derby Races; Ripley Rendezvous; Summer Camps; Fall Comporee; Tiger Prowl; Bear Hibernation; and many, many more. Fees are minimal, however other costs may include uniforms, insignia, and handbooks. Youth members participate in fund-raising projects and pay dues to cover the cost of events, activities, and equipment. This teaches the boys to earn their own way and teaches the value of money.

Girl Scouts - Land of Lakes Council
Girls Scouts is a contemporary, informal education program that gives girls and young women ages 5-17 a chance to build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adults, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives - like strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth. Through the many enriching experienced provided, they grow courageous and strong. Girl Scouts. Where Girls Grow Strong.

Some annual activities include: Overnights at Underwater Adventures; The Minnesota Children's Museum; the Science Museum of Minnesota; Arts and Crafts at the Paramount Arts District; and Opportunities to attend Minnesota Gopher Women's Sporting Events. Through activities like this, girls are presented with leadership and travel opportunities. An annual membership in Girl Scouts of America is $10 and troops usually have dues of $10-$20 per year to pay for field trips. No girl is denied membership because of inability to pay. Parents, adults, and community leaders can also participate in a variety of ways.

SportQuest Skating Academy of Sartell
SportQuest Skating Academy of Sartell offers instruction in ice skating at the Bernick's Arena in Sartell. They offer Learn to Skate classes, Hockey Skills classes as well as a Competitive Figure Skating program. Our academy allows young people to experience the fun & rewards of ice skating.   Along with the Sartell Youth Hockey Association and USA Hockey we have developed a skills program to introduce your skater to hockey without the commitment of an entire year. Our skating season runs September - April. The classes have 30 minutes lessons and 30 minutes to practice. Skaters work through eight levels of basic skating.

The mission statement of SportQuest Skating Academy is to provide the finest training, education and guidance for the mastery of figure skating. SportQuest Skating Academy encourages it's athletes to apply their experiences, skills and self-discipline to become an invaluable part of society.

Granite City Junior Olympic Volleyball Association
The Granite City Junior Olympic Volleyball Association is a non-profit developmental program for young athletes. It is designed to improve volleyball skills through participation in structured practices and monthly tournaments. Programs are offered by age for girls 12-18 years old. There are currently 13 teams. The season runs from January through May. Just For Kix
Just for Kix is a program of precision dance team instruction that allows young people to experience the fun & rewards of dancing with a team. Along with dance skills & many dance styles, dancers learn cooperation, perseverance & teamwork. The Just For Kix motto is "Doing your best is more important than being the best". There are no auditions for classes, which run once a week. We welcome novice as well as experienced dancers!! Join the fun…join Just For Kix! There are programs for girls age 3 through 12th grade. Kidstop
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota's KIDSTOP provides a way for parents to give their kids a quality after-school experience at an affordable price. KIDSTOP gives kids daily opportunities that parents know are vital for their child's healthy growth. Such opportunities include quality staff who provide homework help to members. KIDSTOP kids can also choose to get involved in sports leagues with interclub tournaments. Children can hone their creative talents with KIDSTOP's art programming, which includes daily crafts activities, as well as beginner's dance and theatre. All of these services stem from the Boys & Girls Club's five core program areas:

• Education and Career Development
• Health & Life Skills
• The Arts
• Sports, Fitness & Recreation

KIDSTOP is offered at 13 area schools immediately after school ends until 6 p.m. The program is also offered during some school holidays and during the summer. Scholarships and county assistance are available to families having financial difficulty. The Boys & Girls Club is committed to making sure that ALL children are entitled to quality after-school care, because the children of Central Minnesota deserve to continue to have a positive place to stay after school -- a place that is convenient for parents and fun for kids. Parents only pay for KIDSTOP on the days their child actually attends. The Boys & Girls Club has a KIDSTOP scholarship program available to families who are financially unable to pay. Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (MYAS)
The MYAS is a non-profit organization that offers information on Baseball, Basketball, Golf, Gymnastics, Martial Arts, Swimming, Track and Field, Volleyball, and Wrestling associations for the state of Minnesota. Sartell Sapphire Gymnastics
The Sapphires Youth program is based on the Midwest Amateur Gymnastics Association for girls in as young as 3 years old, but is primarily based on ability not age. The Sapphires prepares gymnasts for high school level gymnastics. Sartell Area Youth Basketball Association (SAYBA)
The SAYBA offers programs for boys and girls ages. SAYBA meets monthly from September through May of each year. For more information, please visit www.saybabball.org.

Sartell Area Youth Football Association (SAYFA)

Sartell Youth Hockey Association (SYHA)

Sartell Youth Wrestling
This program is offered to students from kindergarten to 6th grade. The season runs from the 1st week in January to about the second week in March. Tobacco-Free Youth Recreation Initiative (TFYR)
TFYR is a statewide initiative to assist recreational organizations in their efforts to create a tobacco-free environment where they can promote and model tobacco-free lifestyles. This is accomplished by helping these recreational organizations partner with local health professionals in their community to implement a recreation-based prevention strategy.
