Our investigative unit is comprised of two officers. Both receive additional specialized training to assist in the development of their investigative techniques and abilities. One is assigned specifically to criminal investigations. The investigator’s role in this position is to work on the criminal cases that can be quite lengthy in nature and often times require follow up with other departments within other communities. The investigator will also assist the patrol division on cases in which they need assistance in evidence collection, photography, casting of imprints, etc.
The gang investigator is part of the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force (CMVOTF).
