Building Inspections
Kyle Christensen is the appointed Building Official for the City of Sartell. If you have questions on receiving a building permit or building code questions, give him a call at (320)258-7308.  A 24-hour notice is required to schedule inspections.  Inspections can be scheduled by Jill by calling (320)258-7317. 

Building Permit Applications

Building permit applications can be dropped off at Sartell City Hall. Most building permit fees are based on the value of the project and it usually will take about 5-7 business days for processing. 

However, building permits for siding, re-roofing, window or door replacement can be purchased at Sartell City Hall and are issued at the time of application.  The cost for these types of permits is $55.00 each.

• Accessory Buildings  (sheds 120 s.f. or larger or garages)

• Lower Level Finishing

• Decks

• Fences

Also available are the new codes regarding:

• Permit information for new commercial or multi-family projects
• Information regarding permit applications for new single family homes.

• General Building permit applications  
• New home construction or commercial project building permit applications

Zoning Permit Information

A zoning permit will be needed for the following projects to ensure proper placement, type, etc:

• Accessory buildings 120 square feet or less
• Fences
• Unattached decks
• Patios
• Parking pads
