Kyle Christensen, the Chief Building Official for the City of Sartell is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you have questions on receiving a building permit or building code questions, give him a call at (320)258-7308. A 24-hour notice is required to schedule inspections. Inspections can be scheduled by calling City Hall at (320)258-7317.
Building Permit Applications
Building permit applications can be dropped off at Sartell City Hall. Most building permit fees are based on the value of the project and it usually will take about 5-7 business days for processing.
However, building permits for siding, re-roofing, window or door replacement can be purchased at Sartell City Hall and are issued at the time of application. The cost for these types of permits is $55.00 each.

Zoning Permit Information
A zoning permit will be needed for the following projects to ensure proper placement, type, etc:
- Accessory buildings 120 square feet or less
- Fences
- Retaining walls
- Unattached decks
- Patios
- Parking pads
